Do you put your name down, or walk two blocks and risk the other place being worse? You can look up a restaurant's hours, menu, photos, and reviews. You can find out almost anything about it except the one thing that decides whether you eat there tonight. Seated fills that gap. WHAT IT IS Seated is a live map of restaurant wait times, reported by the people actually standing in them. Open the app and see the restaurants around you as colored pins. Green means walk right in. Yellow is a short wait. Red means grab a drink somewhere else first. One glance tells you where to go. HOW IT WORKS The data comes from people, not from a company. Nobody's calling restaurants to ask. There's no sensor in the ceiling counting heads. When you're seated somewhere, you tap one button and tell everyone else. It takes about three seconds. No sign-up, no email, no password. You can report wait times, save favorites, and use every feature anonymously. If you want your history backed up across devices, you can add an email. That's the only reason to. BUILT PRIVATE Optional visit detection can notice when you've spent time at a restaurant and ask how the wait was, right as you're leaving. It runs entirely on your device. Seated never uploads your location history or builds a picture of where you've been. It's off unless you turn it on. The only thing that ever reaches our servers is a report you deliberately choose to send. FREE TO USE Seated is free. There's nothing to buy and no subscription. You may occasionally see an ad from a local restaurant. Every one is clearly labelled, reviewed by a person before it runs, and never targeted using your personal information. STARTING IN PLYMOUTH Seated is launching in Plymouth, Michigan. A community wait-time app has to be dense to be useful, so it's better to be genuinely good in one downtown than empty in fifty. The map grows wherever people start reporting. If you're early somewhere, your reports are what make it work. REPORTING IS THE WHOLE THING Seated only works if people report. A map with no reports is just a map. Every wait time you see came from someone who took three seconds on their way to the table — and every one you log saves the next person the guesswork.
