Webflow Pricing (Nov 2026): Plans, Seats and Real Cost

Every Webflow Site, Workspace and Ecommerce plan after the May 2026 repricing, what seats, bandwidth, localization and AI credits add, the November 16 deadline for agencies, what real users pay, and how Webflow compares to Superapp and Lovable.

Webflow Pricing: The Short Answer

Webflow has a free Starter plan and two self-serve Site plans, Basic at $15 a month and Premium at $25 a month billed yearly ($25 and $39 billed monthly), plus a new Team plan at $2,500 a month and custom Enterprise pricing. But a Site plan only pays to host and publish one website. The people who build it pay separately through a Workspace plan and seats, and on top of that come bandwidth add-ons, localization, analytics, ecommerce fees and, since June 2026, AI credits. Below you will find every plan, what each extra really costs, what changed in May 2026 and on November 16, what real users report paying, and how Webflow's pricing compares to Superapp and Lovable.

Quick answer: how much does Webflow cost? As of November 2026, Webflow is free to build on, and publishing a site on your own domain costs $15 a month on Basic (no CMS) or $25 a month on Premium (CMS, 20,000 items), billed yearly, or $25 and $39 billed monthly. Ecommerce plans cost $29, $74 and $212 a month billed yearly. Team members who design need a full seat at $39 a month each, agencies pay a Workspace plan from $16 a month, and bandwidth above 50 GB on Premium starts at $20 a month per 50 GB. Localization starts at $9 a month. If you want an AI-generated website plus a native iPhone app on one flat plan, an AI builder like Superapp is the simpler bill.

Prices below were checked on November 4, 2026 against the Webflow pricing page, Webflow's May 2026 pricing announcement, the help article on the changes and Webflow's bandwidth overage rules. User stories come from Trustpilot, the Webflow community and published case write-ups, each linked where it is quoted.

How much does each Webflow plan cost?

Webflow sells three kinds of plans, and most real bills combine at least two of them.

Plan type What it pays for Who needs it Price range
Site plan Hosting and publishing one site on a custom domain Every live site $0 to $25 a month self-serve; Team $2,500; Enterprise custom
Ecommerce plan A site with a store, products and checkout Online stores $29 to $212 a month
Workspace plan Staging sites, seats, roles, code export, client billing Teams, freelancers and agencies $0 to $49 a month, plus seats
Seats Each person who designs or edits Anyone beyond the owner Full $39, limited $15, reviewers free
Add-ons Bandwidth, localization, analytics, testing, AI credits Sites that grow $9 to $974 a month each

Site plans

Site plan Billed yearly Billed monthly Static pages CMS items Bandwidth included Built for
Starter Free Free 2 50 1 GB Learning; webflow.io address only
Basic $15 $25 300 None 10 GB A simple site without a blog or CMS
Premium $25 $39 300 20,000 in 40 collections 50 GB, up to 2.5 TB with add-ons Blogs, content sites, marketing sites
Team $2,500, annual contract Not offered 500 20,000 in 100 collections Up to 30 TB a year Marketing teams that outgrew self-serve
Enterprise Custom Custom Custom Custom Custom Large companies with SLAs and custom roles

Sources: Webflow pricing, Webflow help: May 2026 changes.

Premium is the plan most people end up on, because it is the cheapest plan with a CMS. If you want a blog, a case study list, job posts or any repeating content, Basic will not do, since it has no CMS at all.

A staging site is a site you are building that is not yet on a paid Site plan. To put it live on a custom domain, it needs its own Site plan.

Why do you pay twice on Webflow?

Webflow splits the bill between the site and the people. A Site plan pays for one site's hosting and publishing; a Workspace plan pays for the seats, staging sites and tools used to build it. As one guide on Webflow pricing puts it, build three client sites and you buy three Site plans plus one Workspace plan.

A solo owner with one site can stay on the free Workspace and pay only for the Site plan. Everyone else stacks the two.

Setup Site plans (yearly) Workspace and seats (yearly) Monthly total (our arithmetic)
One person, one simple site Basic $15 Free Workspace $15
One person, one blog or content site Premium $25 Free Workspace $25
Small company, one site, owner plus one designer Premium $25 Core $19 + 1 full seat $39 $83
Small company, owner plus two content editors Premium $25 Core $19 + 2 limited seats $30 $74
Freelancer, three client sites on Premium 3 x $25 = $75 Freelancer $16 $91
Agency, ten client sites on Premium, two extra designers 10 x $25 = $250 Agency $35 + 2 full seats $78 $363

These are our totals from Webflow's listed prices, before tax, bandwidth add-ons, localization or AI credit top-ups. Billed monthly, the same agency setup costs noticeably more, because Premium alone goes from $25 to $39 per site.

What changed in Webflow pricing in 2026?

On May 13, 2026, Webflow merged its CMS and Business Site plans into a single Premium plan, raised Basic, launched the Team plan and moved Webflow AI to credits. Webflow's own summary was that "some customers will see a price increase," while others would pay less or the same (Webflow).

Old plan Old price, yearly / monthly New plan New price, yearly / monthly Change, yearly / monthly (our arithmetic) Limits that changed
Basic $14 / $18 Basic $15 / $25 +7% / +39% Pages 150 to 300
CMS $23 / $29 Premium $25 / $39 +9% / +34% CMS items 2,000 to 20,000; collections 20 to 40; pages 150 to 300
Business $39 / $49 Premium $25 / $39 -36% / -20% CMS items 10,000 to 20,000; bandwidth 100 GB to 50 GB
Business at 100 GB $39 / $49 Premium + 50 GB add-on $45 / $69 +15% / +41% Same bandwidth as before
Ecommerce Unchanged Ecommerce Unchanged 0% None

Sources: old prices from Hostsmith and BRIX Templates; new prices and limits from Webflow help. Percentages are our arithmetic.

The pattern is simple. Yearly billing went up a little for small sites, monthly billing went up a lot, and Business customers saved money only if they used less than 50 GB of bandwidth.

Adrian Evans summed it up on the Webflow community the day after the announcement: "The monthly plans are increasing by 30%" while "yearly billed plans by less than 10%" (Webflow community). Our arithmetic above puts the monthly rise at 34% to 39% for Basic and CMS sites.

When do the new prices reach existing sites?

Who When the new price applies
New Site plan purchases From May 13, 2026
Most existing sites At the first renewal or billable change on or after June 29, 2026
Sites in Freelancer or Agency Workspaces At the first renewal or billable change on or after November 16, 2026
Sites on legacy pricing (discounts from 2022 or earlier) At the first renewal or billable change on or after November 16, 2026
AI credit limits Enforced from June 29, 2026

Sources: Webflow help, Hostsmith.

A billable change means upgrading or downgrading the Site plan, or switching between monthly and yearly billing. Make one and the new price applies at once.

The November 16, 2026 deadline for agencies and freelancers

If you run client sites in a Freelancer or Agency Workspace, the new prices reach you at your first renewal or billable change on or after November 16, 2026. Webflow allows one way to delay it: switch a site from monthly to yearly billing before the change reaches your account, and you keep the current plan for one more year (Webflow help).

Hostsmith worked through a ten-site Freelancer book: Site plans rise from $204 to $258 a month, and about $48 of the $54 increase comes from six monthly-billed sites (Hostsmith). That is the main lever. If most of your client sites are on monthly billing, the switch to yearly is worth checking with each client before the deadline.

Client site today Monthly today Monthly after Nov 16 renewal Yearly lock-in before Nov 16
Basic, monthly $18 $25 $14 a month for one more year
CMS, monthly $29 $39 (Premium) $23 a month for one more year
Business, monthly, under 50 GB $49 $39 (Premium) No reason to lock in; Premium is cheaper
Business, monthly, over 50 GB $49 $69 (Premium + 50 GB) $39 a month for one more year

Prices from Webflow and Hostsmith; the lock-in column assumes the old yearly price continues for one more year, as Webflow describes. Confirm each case in Webflow's pricing change calculator.

Is Webflow free?

Yes, to build and learn. The free Starter Site plan lets you publish on a webflow.io address, with 2 static pages, 50 CMS items, 1 GB of bandwidth and 50 form submissions per site. The free Starter Workspace gives you two staging sites and 200 AI credits a month.

You cannot connect your own domain for free. The moment you want yourdomain.com, you need at least Basic at $15 a month billed yearly.

What you want Free Starter Cheapest paid option
Practice and learn the designer Yes Not needed
Show a prototype to a client Yes, on webflow.io Not needed
Your own domain No Basic, $15 a month yearly
A blog or CMS content 50 items only Premium, $25 a month yearly
Unlimited form submissions No, 50 per site Basic
Export the code No A paid Workspace plan
A store No Ecommerce Standard, $29 a month yearly

Source: Webflow pricing.

One reviewer complained that "there is no trial period and NO REFUNDS" (VIP Blue, Trustpilot, May 2026). The free Starter plan works as the trial: build the whole site on it first, and only buy a Site plan when you are ready to connect a domain.

Which Webflow plan do you need?

If you need Pick Yearly cost Monthly-billed cost
A one-page or brochure site, no blog Basic $180 a year $300 a year
A blog, resources, case studies or job posts Premium $300 a year $468 a year
A store with under $2,250 a month in sales Ecommerce Standard $348 a year + 2% Higher
A store selling more than about $2,250 a month Ecommerce Plus $888 a year Higher
A large marketing team with many editors Team $30,000 a year Not offered
SSO, custom SLAs, security review Enterprise Custom Custom

Annual totals are our arithmetic from Webflow's listed monthly prices. Monthly ecommerce prices are not listed on Webflow's pricing page.

Basic vs Premium

Basic Premium
Price, yearly / monthly $15 / $25 $25 / $39
CMS None 20,000 items, 40 collections
Bandwidth 10 GB 50 GB, up to 2.5 TB with add-ons
Static pages 300 300
Site search No Yes
Form file uploads No Yes, 10 MB max
Code components No Yes
Best for A simple site that rarely changes Almost every business site with content

Source: Webflow pricing.

The $10 a month gap on yearly billing ($120 a year) buys the CMS, five times the bandwidth and site search. If you think you will ever add a blog, start on Premium, because moving up later is a billable change that resets you to current prices anyway.

Team vs Enterprise

Team is new. It costs $2,500 a month on an annual contract, which is $30,000 a year by our arithmetic, and includes 5 full seats, 5 limited seats, up to 100 free seats, 2 Localize locales, 100 CMS collections, up to 30 TB of bandwidth a year, and features that self-serve plans lack, such as page branching, single-page publishing and what Webflow calls AEO agents. It promises 99.00% hosting uptime; Enterprise promises 99.99% with custom SLAs (Webflow pricing).

For Enterprise, Webflow publishes no price. SpendHound, a software spend platform, reports average Webflow spend of $9,742 a year for small and mid-sized businesses and $116,619 a year for enterprises, based on its customers' data (SpendHound). Those figures include everything those companies buy from Webflow, not just a Site plan.

How does Webflow bandwidth pricing work?

Bandwidth is the data your site sends to visitors: pages, images, videos, fonts and scripts. Every Site plan includes a monthly amount, and Premium sites can buy more in steps.

Premium bandwidth add-on Billed yearly Billed monthly Total Premium cost yearly / monthly (our arithmetic) Total bandwidth
None $0 $0 $25 / $39 50 GB
+50 GB $20 $30 $45 / $69 100 GB
+100 GB $40 $60 $65 / $99 150 GB
+250 GB $100 $150 $125 / $189 300 GB
+450 GB $174 $260 $199 / $299 500 GB
+950 GB $374 $560 $399 / $599 1 TB
+1.45 TB $574 $860 $599 / $899 1.5 TB
+2.45 TB $974 $1,460 $999 / $1,499 2.5 TB

Source: Webflow pricing. Totals are our arithmetic.

On yearly billing, extra bandwidth costs about $0.40 per GB at the small steps and about $0.40 per GB at the largest step too, so there is little volume discount. A Premium site that needs 1 TB a month costs $399 a month billed yearly, sixteen times the headline price.

What happens when you go over?

Webflow does not cut your site off. Instead it uses what it calls surge protection:

Month What Webflow does
First month over the limit Notifies you; no overage charge
Back under the limit next month Nothing; surge protection resets
Second consecutive month over Automatically upgrades the plan or add-on to a higher tier at the start of the next billing month
On annual billing The upgrade is prorated; your billing date stays the same
Usage drops later You can downgrade yourself

Sources: Webflow help: surge protection, Webflow help: bandwidth charges.

Two details matter. The upgrade is based on the lower of your last two months, so one spike does not push you to the top tier. And Webflow states plainly: "We are unable to issue refunds for bandwidth overages" (Webflow help).

When bots run up the bill

The worst bandwidth stories are not about real visitors. James Daly, who runs the illustration site DrawKit on Webflow, wrote that his site went "3341% over the monthly limit" in summer 2025 and the monthly bill reached about $1,200. A single chevron icon under 1 KB was loaded 128,637 times in one day. His conclusion: "This had to all be bots." Webflow confirmed it was bot traffic within about two days, refunded the charges and exempted the site from overage monitoring (DrawKit).

That ended well, but it took a public write-up, and the general policy is still no refunds for overages. A Webflow community member named julian reported "completely unrealistic bandwidth spikes" and "large overage charges that do not match our actual traffic in any way" (Webflow community). Another company on the old Business plan, publishing 40 to 50 SEO articles a month, asked the Relume community how to stop going over its 400 GB limit as traffic grew (Relume community).

How bandwidth limits shrank

Bandwidth is where long-time customers feel the change most. Users describe Business plans that once included 400 GB a month, reduced in 2024; by 2026 Business included 100 GB, and its replacement, Premium, includes 50 GB (Relume community; Flowdrive; Webflow help). NoCode.tech described a site using about 400 GB whose yearly bill went from $476 to "north of $2,000" under the new add-on prices (NoCode.tech). By our arithmetic, Premium plus the +350 GB add-on is $165 a month billed yearly, or $1,980 a year, which matches that range.

A vendor case study from Flowdrive, a video and file hosting tool, describes a freelancer whose combined Webflow and video hosting passed $500 a month after a traffic spike, then dropped to $42 a month after moving videos off Webflow (Flowdrive). Treat the exact numbers as promotional, but the pattern is real: video and large images are what push most sites over.

What does Webflow really charge for beyond the plan price?

The Site plan price is the smallest part of many Webflow bills. These are the costs that show up after you start.

Hidden cost What it is Who pays it Typical price How to limit it
Monthly billing premium Paying month to month instead of yearly Anyone avoiding a yearly commitment Basic 67% more, Premium 56% more (our arithmetic) Pay yearly once the site is stable
Seats Each extra designer or editor Teams and agencies $39 full, $15 limited, a month Give editors limited seats; reviewers are free
Workspace plan Staging sites, roles, code export, client billing Freelancers, agencies, in-house teams $16 to $49 a month Stay on the free Workspace if you have one site
Bandwidth add-ons Data above the plan limit Sites with traffic, video or bots $20 a month per 50 GB, yearly Compress images, host video elsewhere, block bots
Automatic upgrades Two months over a limit triggers a higher tier Growing sites Next tier's price, non-refundable Watch site usage monthly
Localization Translated versions of the site Multilingual businesses From $9 or $29 a month, rising with locales Translate only key pages
Analyze and Optimize Analytics and A/B testing Marketing teams From $9 and from $299 a month Use free analytics if they are enough
Ecommerce transaction fee 2% of each sale on Standard Small stores 2% plus payment processing Move to Plus above about $2,250 a month in sales
AI credits Webflow AI features beyond the monthly allowance Teams using AI 2,000 credits for $20 a month Use AI for drafts, not every edit
Webflow Cloud usage Requests and CPU for web apps on Webflow Cloud Sites running apps $2 per 1M requests; $2 per 5 CPU hours Cache and limit server work
Apps and integrations Memberships, forms, search, booking tools Sites needing features Webflow lacks Third-party pricing Check app costs before you build
Taxes Sales tax or VAT on top of listed prices Everyone Varies by country Budget for it

Sources: Webflow pricing, Webflow help. Webflow Cloud overage rates are listed for Premium.

Joshua Hartsel's Trustpilot review is the short version of this table: "They nickel and dime you for everything." Simon Mayrhofer wrote "you are billed at every possible corner" (Trustpilot, December 2025 and January 2026).

What do Webflow seats cost?

Every Workspace owner gets one full seat. Anyone else who designs needs a full seat at $39 a month, anyone who only edits content or assembles pages from components needs a limited seat at $15 a month, and reviewers and commenters are free.

Team Seats needed Seat cost a month (our arithmetic) Seat cost a year
Solo founder Owner only $0 $0
Founder plus one designer 1 full $39 $468
Founder plus two content writers 2 limited $30 $360
Small marketing team: 2 designers, 3 editors 2 full, 3 limited $123 $1,476
Agency: 4 designers besides the owner, 5 client reviewers 4 full $156 $1,872

Seat prices from Webflow pricing, billed yearly.

For a small marketing team, seats can cost more than the site. In the example above, two designers and three editors cost $123 a month in seats, against $25 for the Premium Site plan.

Seats are also where Webflow's older plans changed. PandaCodeGen notes that legacy Editor users were moved to either a free client seat or a paid limited seat (PandaCodeGen). On the Agency plan, each site includes three free client seats; on Freelancer, one.

How much does Webflow localization cost?

Localization lets you publish translated versions of your site. Webflow sells it as an add-on.

Localization plan Starting price a month Locales Words a month Machine translation
Essential $9 1 to 3 10,000 Included within the word limit
Advanced $29 1 to 10 50,000 Included within the word limit
Enterprise Custom Custom Custom Custom

Source: Webflow pricing. Prices are "based on locales," so they rise as you add languages.

Third-party guides describe localization as priced per added locale. On that reading, a five-language site on Advanced costs $29 times 5, or $145 a month, for translation alone (Usecarly). Check Webflow's checkout for your exact locale count before you plan around it.

Users push back on this cost more than most. Pascal, a French Webflow user, wrote "Localization is sooooo overpriced" and complained about paying "extra $29/month for localization" (Trustpilot, January 2026). The Team plan is the one Webflow plan that includes two locales.

How do Webflow AI credits work?

Since May 13, 2026, every Workspace plan includes AI credits for Webflow AI features, and since June 29, 2026, usage counts against those limits.

Workspace plan AI credits a month
Starter (free) 200
Core 300
Growth 400
Freelancer 300
Agency 400
Team and Enterprise Set by contract; reset yearly
AI credit add-on Price
2,000 credits a month $20 a month, billed yearly

Sources: Webflow pricing, Webflow updates: AI credits.

Self-serve credits reset monthly. Workspace owners and admins get notifications as they approach the limit, and usage shows in an AI usage dashboard in Workspace settings (Webflow). Webflow's announcement does not say what each action costs in credits or exactly what happens at zero beyond the option to buy more, so treat third-party per-action estimates with caution.

The switch upset some users who had used AI features freely. James Dowe wrote that "they suddenly, with no communication, changed their pricing to ai assist credits" (Trustpilot, July 2026).

What does Webflow ecommerce really cost?

The listed price is only part of the cost of a store.

Monthly sales Standard: $29 + 2% Plus: $74, 0% Cheaper plan (our arithmetic)
$500 $39 $74 Standard
$1,000 $49 $74 Standard
$2,250 $74 $74 Break-even
$5,000 $129 $74 Plus
$10,000 $229 $74 Plus

Yearly-billed plan prices from Webflow pricing; the 2% is Webflow's fee only. Payment processing fees apply on top in every row.

Above about $2,250 a month in sales, Plus is cheaper than Standard. A reviewer named J.B. flagged the fee directly: "They charge a Transaction fee 2% on their base plan" (Trustpilot, February 2026).

Standard also caps you at 500 products and 3 staff accounts, and every ecommerce plan includes a fixed bandwidth amount, 50 GB or 100 GB, which a store with many product photos can use up.

Can you export your Webflow site and leave?

Partly. Code export is only included in paid Workspace plans; Site plans alone do not include it. When you export, you get HTML, CSS, JavaScript and images, but CMS content, ecommerce, user accounts, forms, site search and password protection do not come with it (Webflow help: code export).

Part of your site Exported? What you need after export
Page design (HTML and CSS) Yes Any static host
Images in the Assets panel Yes Any host
Interactions and sliders Yes, as JavaScript Keep the exported JS files
CMS content (blog posts, lists) No, collection pages are empty Export CSVs separately and rebuild on a new CMS
Forms No A third-party form tool
Ecommerce products and checkout No A new store platform
Password-protected pages No longer protected New access control

Source: Webflow help: code export.

This is a real cost of leaving. Marco Torres wrote that you "cannot download to publish without paying hundreds more" (Trustpilot, May 2026). For a content site, the CMS is usually the hard part to move.

How much does Webflow cost for mobile apps?

Superapp builds a native Swift iPhone app alongside a website on its $25 Pro plan, while Webflow builds responsive websites only and has no native mobile app builder. A Webflow site works in a phone's browser, and you can add it to a home screen, but it is not an App Store app.

Mobile need Webflow What you would add
Site that looks right on phones Yes, responsive design on every plan Nothing
App in the Apple App Store No A separate app builder or developers, plus Apple's $99 a year
App in Google Play No A separate builder or wrapper, plus Google's $25 one-time fee
Push notifications No A third-party service
Offline use No A native or progressive web app

Sources: Webflow pricing; Apple and Google developer fees from Apple and Google Play Console.

If an App Store app is part of the plan, budget it as a second product next to your Webflow bill.

Refunds, renewals and billing: what users report

Webflow's pricing page says you can cancel a Site or Workspace plan at any time, but you "still pay the remainder of the term" (Webflow pricing). It does not describe a refund policy, and bandwidth overages are explicitly non-refundable. Annual plans renew automatically.

That combination drives most of the angry reviews. On Trustpilot, Webflow scores 1.5 out of 5 from 240 reviews, with 66% one-star (Trustpilot, checked November 4, 2026). Most of them are about billing and support, not the designer.

Reviewer When What happened In their words
Sean Smith November 2026 Auto-renewed for more than $300 "They auto renewed me and charged me over $300."
William Chase July 2026 Annual plan renewed without a reminder "re-ups an annual plan with no notification"
Andrew ES September 2026 Annual payment refused for refund "when you are on an annual billing the payments are not-refundable"
Terry Griffin October 2026 Card kept being charged "My Mastercard has continued to be billed monthly by Webflow"
Emma LU July 2026 Could not reach a person about a refund "can't reach any real person for a reasonable refund conversation."
Marcus Magarian February 2026 Bought the wrong package, waited a week "my company purchased the wrong package"
VIP Blue May 2026 Asked for a refund, no answer "They won't even respond to your refund request"
pete preston May 2026 Requested a refund "I am asking for my money back!"
J.B. February 2026 Renewals far above the starting price "Their renewal costs are can be as high as 4x."
Luke August 2026 A plan went from $35 to $46 "My plan was recently increased from $35 (already absurd) to $46"

All from Trustpilot, pages 1 and 2, quoted with original spelling.

The lesson from these stories is practical. Put the renewal date in your calendar a few weeks ahead, cancel before it if you are not staying, and assume a yearly payment will not be refunded.

What do Webflow customers say about support?

Support quality matters when a bill goes wrong, and it is the second big theme in reviews.

Reviewer When In their words
Andrew ES September 2026 "we pay thousands of $ and all we get is a bot support"
David Penev May 2026 "The ai agent support is useless"
Emil SE May 2026 "they just raised prices while downgrading support."
Fred K July 2026 "turned into a complete week-long ghost town from support."
Alana Heaton September 2026 "Customer service never comes back to you."
Patrick Doyle April 2026 "send out mechanical responses that are totally worthless."
Bridget Maendl April 2026 "take your money and don't give you a service"
Asa February 2026 "Zero customer service."
Valdis Skola February 2026 "No normal customer support"

Source: Trustpilot, pages 1 and 2.

Trustpilot reviews skew toward people with a problem, and Webflow's large community forum and many agency partners are where most users get help in practice. Still, if your site is business-critical, the self-serve plans come with self-serve support, and faster help is part of what Team and Enterprise contracts sell.

What are real users paying on Webflow?

Beyond refunds and support, here is what users and published write-ups say about the actual cost.

User and source When What they report In their words
Adrian Evans, Webflow community May 2026 Monthly plans up about 30% "The monthly plans are increasing by 30%"
James Daly, DrawKit October 2025 About $1,200 bandwidth bill from bots; refunded "We're talking 3341% over the monthly limit."
julian, Webflow community 2025 Overage charges that did not match traffic "large overage charges that do not match our actual traffic in any way"
Luke, Trustpilot August 2026 A plan rose from $35 to $46 "the pricing is daylight robbery."
Simon Mayrhofer, Trustpilot January 2026 Charged for every extra "The pricing model is nothing short of extortion."
Joshua Hartsel, Trustpilot December 2025 Paying for form submissions and more "Form submissions? Pay."
Pascal, Trustpilot January 2026 $29 a month for localization "Localization is sooooo overpriced"
Ivan Tomljenović, Trustpilot December 2025 Needed a higher plan for one feature "you have to be on a business plan that's €50/month."
J.B., Trustpilot February 2026 2% fee and steep renewals "They charge a Transaction fee 2% on their base plan."
Zelensky Huawe, Trustpilot August 2026 Three stars, but on price "they charge like insane"
Marco Torres, Trustpilot May 2026 Felt the price was too high for what he got "this service is a rip off."
u/proteanradish, Reddit (via PandaCodeGen) February 2026 Found the plan structure confusing "It's so convoluted and counterintuitive"

What Webflow's defenders say

Not everyone thinks the new pricing is unfair. Florian Bodelot, co-founder of the Webflow agency Digidop, wrote "I believe this is a smart move from Webflow," arguing that very low self-serve prices made the platform look cheap to larger companies, and that a Business site at 100 GB costs about $45 a month on yearly billing, close to what it paid before (Digidop). Note that Digidop is a Webflow agency partner.

Some users are simply content. A four-star reviewer, maniplayer, wrote "In general Im satsified with this platform" (Trustpilot, May 2026). And on yearly billing, most small CMS sites pay $2 a month more than before while getting ten times the CMS items, which is a fair trade if you need them.

The honest summary: Webflow is good value for a designer-built marketing site on yearly billing at modest traffic. It gets expensive with monthly billing, many seats, many languages, heavy media or a store on Standard.

Is Webflow cheaper on annual or monthly billing?

Annual billing is much cheaper, and since May 2026 the gap is wider than it used to be.

Plan Monthly billing, per year Annual billing, per year You save yearly (our arithmetic) Monthly costs more by
Basic $300 $180 $120 67%
Premium $468 $300 $168 56%
Premium + 50 GB $828 $540 $288 53%
Premium + 450 GB $3,588 $2,388 $1,200 50%
Freelancer Workspace $288 $192 $96 50%
Agency Workspace $504 $420 $84 20%

Prices from Webflow pricing and Hostsmith; totals are our arithmetic.

The trade-off is commitment. A yearly plan is paid up front, renews automatically, and users report it is not refunded if you cancel early. Pay monthly while you are building and testing, then switch to yearly once the site is live and you know which plan fits. Switching is itself a billable change, so it moves you to current prices.

What will Webflow cost you? Five real-world budgets

These budgets add up everything a typical setup pays, using Webflow's listed yearly prices. They are our arithmetic, not quotes from Webflow.

Setup Site plans Workspace and seats Add-ons Monthly total Yearly total
Freelance portfolio, no blog Basic $15 Free None $15 $180
Small business site with a blog Premium $25 Free Analyze $9 $34 $408
Startup marketing site, 2 designers, 2 writers, English and Spanish Premium $25 + 50 GB $20 Core $19 + 1 full $39 + 2 limited $30 Localize Essential $9 $142 $1,704
Agency, 10 client sites 10 x Premium $250 Agency $35 + 2 full $78 None $363 $4,356
Store selling $8,000 a month Ecommerce Plus $74 Free None $74 + processing $888 + processing

Totals exclude tax, domains bought elsewhere, payment processing and third-party apps.

The pattern is that the Site plan is rarely the main cost once a team is involved. In the startup budget, the $25 Premium plan is less than a fifth of the $142 total.

How a $25 site turns into a $200 month: three illustrations

These are illustrations built from Webflow's listed prices, not reports from specific users.

1. The blog that took off. A company publishes on Premium at $25 a month, yearly. Traffic and image-heavy posts push it to about 120 GB for two months in a row, so Webflow upgrades it to the next bandwidth tier. Premium plus +100 GB costs $65 a month. The team adds a full seat for a second designer ($39) and Analyze ($9). The bill is now $113 a month before tax, more than four times the starting price. If it had stayed on monthly billing, the plan and bandwidth alone would be $99.

2. The multilingual site. A company on Premium at $25 adds German, French and Spanish. If Localize Advanced is billed per added locale, as third-party guides describe, that is three times $29, or $87 a month, for a $112 total. With Localize Essential and up to three locales the cost starts at $9 a month, but with a 10,000-word monthly limit that a content-heavy site can outgrow.

3. The small store. A shop on Ecommerce Standard at $29 sells $6,000 a month. Webflow's 2% fee is $120, so the real Webflow cost is $149 a month before payment processing. Moving to Plus at $74 removes the fee and saves $75 a month, by our arithmetic.

Should you pick or skip Webflow?

Your situation Pick Webflow? Pick instead
You want a website and a native iPhone app from one AI builder Skip Superapp, which builds both on one flat plan
You want a site generated from a prompt, not designed by hand Skip Superapp or Lovable, AI builders that generate the site for you
You are a designer who wants pixel-level control without code Pick Webflow is one of the strongest visual designers
You run a content-heavy marketing site with a CMS Pick Webflow Premium covers 20,000 CMS items
You need an App Store app for your customers Skip Superapp for a native iPhone app
You need a multilingual site on a tight budget Consider carefully Price localization per language first
You run a store with a large catalog Consider carefully Compare a dedicated store platform's fees
You prefer monthly billing and may cancel soon Skip, or start on the free plan A tool with monthly plans and no annual pressure
You are an agency with many small client sites Pick, with yearly billing Webflow with Client Payments so clients pay hosting
You need SSO and custom SLAs Pick Enterprise Talk to Webflow sales

Is Webflow's pricing fair?

It depends on which customer you are.

Customer Fair? Why
Solo site owner on yearly billing Mostly yes $15 to $25 a month for hosting, a CDN and a strong designer
CMS site that needs more items Yes 20,000 items for $25 a month yearly, up from 2,000 on the old CMS plan
Anyone on monthly billing Less so Monthly prices rose 34% to 39% for most small sites
Business site over 50 GB Less so Bandwidth was halved; adding it back costs more than before
Team with several editors Mixed Seats often cost more than the site
Multilingual site Often no Localization adds up quickly per language
Agency with many monthly-billed clients Mixed Prices rise at renewal after November 16 unless clients switch to yearly

Webflow's argument is that higher limits and the Premium merge simplify things. Users' argument is that the simplification raised the price for the most common customer, a small site paying monthly.

Signs you are paying for the wrong Webflow plan

Sign What it means What to do
You are on monthly billing a year after launch You are paying 56% to 67% extra Switch to yearly
You get bandwidth warnings two months in a row An automatic upgrade is coming Optimize media now
You pay full seats for people who only edit text Limited seats are $24 cheaper each Move editors to limited seats
You pay for a Workspace plan with one site The free Workspace may be enough Downgrade the Workspace
Your store sells more than $2,250 a month on Standard The 2% fee costs more than Plus Move to Ecommerce Plus
You bought AI credit top-ups you rarely use Credits reset monthly Drop the add-on
You are on Basic but need a blog Basic has no CMS Move to Premium

How to keep your Webflow bill down

  1. Pay yearly once the site is stable. It saves $120 a year on Basic and $168 on Premium, by our arithmetic.
  2. Host video elsewhere. Video is the fastest way to burn bandwidth. Embed it from a video platform instead of uploading it.
  3. Compress images. Use WebP or AVIF and size images for how they display.
  4. Watch site usage monthly. Webflow upgrades you after two consecutive months over a limit, and overage charges are non-refundable.
  5. Report bot traffic quickly. James Daly at DrawKit got a refund when Webflow confirmed bot traffic, but only after he raised it (DrawKit).
  6. Use limited and free seats. Give full seats only to people who design.
  7. Let clients pay for their own Site plans. Webflow's Client Payments lets the client pay Webflow directly while the site stays in your Workspace.
  8. Lock in before November 16, 2026 if you are an agency. Switching client sites from monthly to yearly before the change keeps the current plan for one more year.
  9. Set a renewal reminder. Annual plans renew automatically, and reviewers report no refunds afterward.
  10. Check the pricing calculator. Webflow's pricing change calculator shows what your site will cost after the change.

What does Webflow get right?

The criticism is loud, so it is worth saying what users pay for.

Strength Why it matters
Visual design control Designers can build custom layouts without code, closer to hand-coded sites than template builders
Hosting included Every Site plan includes hosting, SSL and a global CDN
A capable CMS on Premium 20,000 items and 40 collections for $25 a month yearly
No hard shutdown on traffic spikes Surge protection means one busy month does not take your site offline
A free plan with no time limit You can build the whole site before you pay
Mature agency ecosystem Many agencies, templates and a large community
Code export Static HTML, CSS and JavaScript on paid Workspace plans

For a marketing team that wants a designer-built site and the control to keep editing it, Webflow is still one of the best tools available.

How does Webflow pricing compare to other builders?

Webflow, Superapp and Lovable build in different ways, so compare what each plan produces, not just the price.

Superapp Webflow Lovable

As a disclosure, Superapp is our product, so weigh this accordingly. If you are pricing Webflow because you want a website generated for you, or a website plus an iPhone app, Superapp builds both from prompts on a flat $25 plan and gives you the native Swift Xcode project. If you are a designer who wants full visual control over a content-heavy marketing site, with a mature CMS, localization and agency tooling, Webflow is the stronger tool, and Superapp does not build Android apps. Decide in five questions

  1. Do you need your own domain? If no, the free Starter plan is enough.
  2. Do you need a blog or any repeating content? If yes, budget Premium, not Basic.
  3. How many people will design or edit? Multiply full seats by $39 and limited seats by $15, then add that to the Site plan.
  4. Do you want the site generated by AI, or an iPhone app as well? If yes, compare an AI builder such as Superapp before committing to a hand-designed Webflow site.
  5. Will you pay monthly or yearly? If monthly, add 56% to 67% to every Site plan price.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does Webflow cost per month?
Webflow costs $0 on the free Starter plan, $15 a month on Basic and $25 a month on Premium when billed yearly, or $25 and $39 billed monthly. Ecommerce plans cost $29, $74 and $212 a month billed yearly. The Team plan costs $2,500 a month on an annual contract, and Enterprise is custom.

Is Webflow free?
Yes, the Starter plan is free with no time limit, but it only publishes to a webflow.io address with 2 static pages, 50 CMS items, 1 GB of bandwidth and 50 form submissions. You need a paid Site plan for your own domain.

What is the Webflow Premium plan?
Premium is the Site plan that replaced the CMS and Business plans on May 13, 2026. It costs $25 a month billed yearly or $39 billed monthly and includes 20,000 CMS items, 40 collections, 300 static pages, 50 GB of bandwidth, site search and form file uploads.

What happened to the Webflow CMS and Business plans?
Webflow merged them into the Premium plan on May 13, 2026. Existing CMS and Business sites move to Premium at their first renewal or billable change on or after June 29, 2026, or on or after November 16, 2026 for sites in Freelancer or Agency Workspaces and on legacy pricing.

Did Webflow raise its prices in 2026?
Yes for most small sites. Basic went from $14 to $15 yearly and from $18 to $25 monthly, and CMS sites moved from $23 to $25 yearly and from $29 to $39 monthly. Business sites under 50 GB of bandwidth pay less on Premium.

What changes for Webflow agencies on November 16, 2026?
Sites in Freelancer and Agency Workspaces, and sites on legacy pricing, move to the new Site plan prices at their first renewal or billable change on or after November 16, 2026. Workspace plan prices do not change. Switching a site from monthly to yearly billing before then keeps its current plan for one more year.

What is the difference between a Webflow Site plan and a Workspace plan?
A Site plan pays for hosting and publishing one site on a custom domain. A Workspace plan pays for staging sites, seats, roles, code export and client billing tools. Most teams and agencies pay for both.

How much does a Webflow seat cost?
A full seat costs $39 a month billed yearly and lets someone design full sites. A limited seat costs $15 a month and lets someone edit content or build pages from components. Reviewer and commenter seats are free, and the Workspace owner gets one full seat.

What happens if my Webflow site goes over its bandwidth limit?
In the first month over, Webflow notifies you and does not charge for the overage. If you go over two months in a row, it automatically upgrades your plan or bandwidth add-on to a higher tier at the start of the next billing month, based on the lower of the two months. Bandwidth overage charges are non-refundable.

How much does extra bandwidth cost on Webflow?
On Premium, extra bandwidth starts at $20 a month for 50 GB billed yearly, or $30 billed monthly, and goes up to $974 a month yearly for 2.45 TB. By our arithmetic that is about $0.40 per GB at every step.

Does Webflow give refunds?
Webflow's pricing page says you can cancel at any time but still pay the remainder of the term, and it states that bandwidth overages are non-refundable. Many Trustpilot reviewers report that annual renewals were not refunded, so cancel before the renewal date if you are not staying.

How much is Webflow localization?
Localize Essential starts at $9 a month for 1 to 3 locales and 10,000 words a month, and Localize Advanced starts at $29 a month for 1 to 10 locales and 50,000 words. Prices rise with the number of locales, and third-party guides describe them as charged per added locale.

How much does Webflow ecommerce cost?
Ecommerce Standard costs $29 a month billed yearly with a 2% Webflow transaction fee and 500 products. Plus costs $74 with no Webflow fee and 5,000 products, and Advanced costs $212 with 15,000 products. Payment processing fees apply on every plan.

When should I upgrade from Ecommerce Standard to Plus?
By our arithmetic, Plus becomes cheaper once your store sells more than about $2,250 a month, because the 2% fee on Standard then costs more than the $45 difference between the plans.

How do Webflow AI credits work?
Every Workspace plan includes AI credits each month: 200 on the free Starter Workspace, 300 on Core and Freelancer, and 400 on Growth and Agency. Limits have been enforced since June 29, 2026, and you can add 2,000 credits for $20 a month billed yearly.

How much does the Webflow Team plan cost?
Team costs $2,500 a month on an annual contract, which is $30,000 a year by our arithmetic. It includes 5 full and 5 limited seats, up to 100 free seats, 2 Localize locales, 100 CMS collections and features such as page branching and single-page publishing.

How much does Webflow Enterprise cost?
Webflow does not publish Enterprise prices. SpendHound, a software spend platform, reports average Webflow spend of about $9,742 a year for small and mid-sized businesses and about $116,619 a year for enterprises among its customers.

Is Webflow cheaper billed annually?
Yes. Basic costs $180 a year billed yearly versus $300 billed monthly, and Premium costs $300 versus $468. Monthly billing costs 56% to 67% more for Site plans, by our arithmetic.

Can I use my own domain on the free Webflow plan?
No. The free Starter plan publishes only to a webflow.io address. Connecting a custom domain needs at least the Basic Site plan at $15 a month billed yearly.

Does Webflow Basic include a CMS?
No. Basic includes 300 static pages, 10 GB of bandwidth and unlimited form submissions but no CMS. For a blog or any collection-based content you need Premium.

Can I export my code from Webflow?
Yes, on paid Workspace plans. The export includes HTML, CSS, JavaScript and images, but CMS content, ecommerce, user accounts, forms, site search and password protection do not work in the exported site.

Does Webflow build mobile apps?
No. Webflow builds responsive websites that work in a phone's browser. For an App Store app you need a separate app builder or developers, plus Apple's $99 a year developer membership.

How much does Webflow cost for an agency?
An Agency Workspace costs $35 a month billed yearly, and each client site needs its own Site plan, usually Premium at $25 a month yearly. Ten Premium client sites plus the Agency plan and two extra full seats come to about $363 a month by our arithmetic.

Can my clients pay for their own Webflow hosting?
Yes. Webflow's Client Payments lets a client pay for the Site plan directly with their own card while the site stays in your Workspace, with no extra fee, according to Hostsmith's guide to the Workspace plans.

Why is my Webflow bill higher than the plan price?
Usually because of seats, a Workspace plan, bandwidth add-ons after an automatic upgrade, localization, analytics, AI credit top-ups, the 2% ecommerce fee, or tax. Check each line in your billing settings.

Is Webflow worth the price?
For a designer-built marketing or content site on yearly billing with modest traffic, many users find it worth it for the design control, hosting and CMS. It becomes expensive with monthly billing, many seats, several languages, heavy media or a store on Standard.

How does Webflow pricing compare to Superapp?
Webflow's Site plans start at $15 a month yearly, with seats, bandwidth and add-ons charged separately, and you design the site by hand. Superapp's Pro plan costs $25 a month and generates a website or native iPhone app from prompts. Webflow offers more design control and a mature CMS; Superapp builds native iOS apps, which Webflow does not.

How does Webflow pricing compare to Lovable?
Lovable's Pro plan costs $25 a month with credits per prompt and generates full-stack web apps with AI. Webflow costs $15 to $25 a month yearly per site plus seats and add-ons, and is a visual designer for websites rather than an AI app generator.

What is Webflow surge protection?
Surge protection is Webflow's grace period for usage spikes. If a site goes over a limit for one month, Webflow does not charge overage; if it goes over two months in a row, the plan or add-on is upgraded automatically.

Does Webflow charge tax on top of its prices?
Yes. Webflow lists Site, Workspace and Ecommerce prices in US dollars plus applicable taxes, which are added at checkout.
