Framer Pricing (Nov 2026): Plans, Editors and Real Cost
Every Framer plan after Framer 3.0, monthly vs yearly prices, what editors, translation, bandwidth, CMS add-ons and AI credits really cost, what users report about billing and refunds, and how Framer compares to Superapp, Webflow and Lovable.
Framer Pricing: The Short Answer
Framer has a free plan and two self-serve paid plans, Basic at $10 a month and Pro at $30 a month billed yearly ($15 and $45 billed monthly), plus custom Enterprise pricing. Each price covers one site. On top of the plan come editors at $20 or $10 a month each, translation at $20 per language, Pro add-ons for extra pages, CMS and bandwidth, and, since Framer 3.0 in June 2026, AI credits for the Framer Agent. Below you will find every plan, what each extra really costs, what changed in 2025 and 2026, what real users report paying, and how Framer's pricing compares to Superapp, Webflow and Lovable.
Quick answer: how much does Framer cost? As of November 2026, Framer is free to build on, and publishing on your own domain costs $10 a month on Basic or $30 a month on Pro, billed yearly, or $15 and $45 billed monthly, per site. Basic includes 30 pages, 2 CMS collections, 50 GB of bandwidth and 1,000 AI credits a month; Pro includes 150 pages, 10 collections, 100 GB and 3,000 credits, with paid add-ons beyond that. Each extra editor costs $20 a month ($10 for content-only editors), each extra language $20 a month, and extra AI credits $10 per 1,000. If you want an AI-generated website plus a native iPhone app on one flat plan, an AI builder like Superapp is the simpler bill.
Prices below were checked on November 4, 2026 against the Framer pricing page and Framer's Framer 3.0 pricing post. Monthly-billing prices and credit add-on prices, which Framer's page shows only behind a toggle, come from All About Cookies. User stories come from Trustpilot and published write-ups, each linked where it is quoted.
How much does each Framer plan cost?
Framer prices each site separately. A workspace can hold many sites, but each live site on a custom domain needs its own plan.
| Plan | Billed yearly | Billed monthly | Pages | CMS collections / items | Bandwidth | AI credits a month | Built for |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | $0 | 1,000 | 10 / not stated | 1 GB | 500 one-time | Trying Framer on a framer.website address |
| Basic | $10 | $15 | 30 | 2 / 1,000 | 50 GB | 1,000 | A small site, portfolio or landing page |
| Pro | $30 | $45 | 150, up to 700 | 10 / 2,500, up to 40 / 40,000 | 100 GB, up to 2 TB | 3,000 | Startup and company marketing sites |
| Enterprise | Custom | Custom | Custom | Custom | Custom | Custom | SSO, SCIM, uptime guarantee, unlimited editors |

The free plan's large page allowance looks generous, but it only publishes to a Framer subdomain with 1 GB of bandwidth, so it is for building and testing, not for a business site.
What each plan includes
| Feature | Free | Basic | Pro | Enterprise |

| Custom domain | No | Yes, free domain on yearly | Yes, free domain on yearly | Yes |
| Hosting locations | Not stated | 20 | 300+ | All |

What do Framer editors cost?
The workspace owner and viewers are free. Everyone else who works on the site pays a monthly seat.
| Seat | Price a month | What it allows |
|---|---|---|
| Owner | Free | Everything |
| Viewer | Free | View and comment |
| Content editor | $10 | CMS, localization and on-page text editing with a simpler toolset |
| Editor | $20 | Design, edit and publish |
Source: Framer pricing. Basic and Pro allow up to 10 seats; Enterprise allows unlimited.
Two billing details catch people out. Framer charges for an editor within 24 hours of the notification that they were added (Framer pricing). And one reviewer, Andreas K., wrote that "they even charge this fee, when you remove editor for the next months" (Trustpilot, July 2026). Another, Juan Cruz Gomez Righetti, wrote "I was charged €147.90 for an additional Editor seat" and said "they refused a refund" (July 2026). Remove editors before a billing date, not after it.
| Team | Seats needed | Seat cost a month (our arithmetic) | Seat cost a year |
|---|---|---|---|
| Solo founder | Owner only | $0 | $0 |
| Founder plus one designer | 1 editor | $20 | $240 |
| Founder plus two writers | 2 content editors | $20 | $240 |
| Marketing team: 2 designers, 3 writers | 2 editors, 3 content editors | $70 | $840 |
| Agency: 4 designers on one client site | 4 editors | $80 | $960 |
Seat prices from Framer pricing.
Framer cut the full editor seat from $40 to $20 a month and added the $10 content editor with Framer 3.0 in June 2026 (Framer). Before that, seats were one of the most common complaints. A Swiss agency owner, writing anonymously on Feedme.design, argued that per-editor fees feel "like you're punishing teams for working together" (Feedme.design). Framer also offers its Pro Experts free editor access on client projects.
How do Framer AI credits work?
Since Framer 3.0, the Framer Agent, which builds and edits pages from prompts, runs on AI credits.
| Plan | Credits included | Resets | Add-on maximum |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | 500, one-time | No reset since August 2026 | None; needs a paid plan |
| Basic | 1,000 a month | Monthly | 15,000 a month |
| Pro | 3,000 a month | Monthly | 100,000 a month |
| Enterprise | Custom | Custom | Volume discounts |
| Extra credits | Billed yearly | Billed monthly |
|---|---|---|
| Each 1,000 credits a month | $10 | $15 |
| Basic at its 15,000-credit maximum (plan plus credits) | $150 a month | Not stated |
| Pro at its 100,000-credit maximum (plan plus credits) | $1,000 a month | Not stated |
Sources: Framer pricing, All About Cookies, PricingSaaS. The maximum totals match our arithmetic: $10 plus 14,000 extra credits at $10 per 1,000 is $150; $30 plus 97,000 at $10 per 1,000 is $1,000.
How far do the credits go?
Framer estimated about 300 credits to generate a landing page with the Agent, according to UsagePricing's record of the launch. By that estimate, Basic's 1,000 credits cover about three generated pages a month and Pro's 3,000 about ten.
The model you choose changes the cost. At launch Framer listed multipliers of 0.9x for Sonnet 4.6, 1x for GPT 5.5 (the default) and 1.8x for Opus 4.8 (Framer). So the same request on Opus uses nearly twice the credits.
| Task (illustration) | Credits at 1x (Framer's page estimate) | On Basic's 1,000 | On Pro's 3,000 |
|---|---|---|---|
| Generate one landing page | About 300 | About 3 a month | About 10 a month |
| Same page on Opus 4.8 (1.8x) | About 540 | About 1 a month | About 5 a month |
| Five pages a week with the default model | About 6,000 a month | Needs 5,000 extra ($50) | Needs 3,000 extra ($30) |
Our arithmetic from Framer's estimate; real prompts vary widely.
Two things work in your favour. Failed results can be refunded by marking them as bad in the changes summary, and AI tools connected over MCP, such as Claude Code, Cursor or Codex, do not use Framer credits (Framer).
Users still complain about how quickly credits go. Stephen wrote that small changes "will cost you hundreds of credits" and Mona described a tool "where they ask you to add credits every 5 minutes" (Trustpilot, October and August 2026). Marc Vanschoenwinkel put it as "you keep buying credits to fix things," and Alexander IT wrote "Adding credits on top is quite expensive." (Trustpilot, July 2026). Pieter-Jan reported that "they automatically upgrade your credits and charge a large amount" and that a refund was refused.
Is Framer free?
Yes, to build and try. The free plan gives you a framer.website address, 1 GB of bandwidth, up to 3 editors, one locale to try and a one-time 500 AI credits. Until August 2026 those 500 credits refreshed; Framer then made them a one-time allocation for trying the Agent (PricingSaaS).
| What you want | Free | Cheapest paid option |
|---|---|---|
| Learn Framer and design a site | Yes | Not needed |
| Show a draft to a client | Yes, on a Framer subdomain | Not needed |
| Your own domain | No | Basic, $10 a month yearly |
| A blog with more than 1,000 posts | No | Pro, $30 a month yearly |
| More than 30 pages | Yes on Free, but no domain | Pro, since Basic stops at 30 |
| Keep using the AI Agent | One-time 500 credits | Basic, 1,000 a month |
| A second language | One to try | $20 a month per locale |

Is Framer cheaper on annual or monthly billing?
Annual billing is cheaper and includes a free custom domain.
| Plan | Monthly billing, per year | Annual billing, per year | You save yearly (our arithmetic) | Monthly costs more by |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Basic | $180 | $120 | $60 | 50% |
| Pro | $540 | $360 | $180 | 50% |
| 1,000 extra AI credits a month | $180 | $120 | $60 | 50% |
Prices from Framer pricing and All About Cookies; totals are our arithmetic.
A yearly plan is paid up front. Framer's pricing page offers refunds within 14 days only to customers in the EU and Turkey, so outside those regions assume a yearly payment will not be refunded (Framer pricing).
What do Framer Pro add-ons cost?
Basic has fixed limits: when you outgrow them, you upgrade to Pro. Pro lets you buy more of each limit in steps.
| Pro add-on | Included on Pro | Price per step | Step size | Maximum |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Pages | 150 | $20 a month | 100 pages | 700 |
| CMS collections | 10 | $40 a month | 10 collections | 40 |
| CMS items | 2,500 | $20 a month | 10,000 items | 40,000 |
| Bandwidth | 100 GB | $40 a month | 100 GB | 2 TB |
Source: Framer pricing.
Framer bandwidth pricing
| Monthly bandwidth on Pro | Extra steps | Add-on cost | Total a month, yearly plan (our arithmetic) |
|---|---|---|---|
| 100 GB | 0 | $0 | $30 |
| 200 GB | 1 | $40 | $70 |
| 300 GB | 2 | $80 | $110 |
| 500 GB | 4 | $160 | $190 |
| 1 TB | 9 | $360 | $390 |
| 2 TB | 19 | $760 | $790 |
Prices from Framer pricing.
That is $0.40 per extra GB, the same rate Webflow charges for Premium bandwidth on yearly billing. A Pro site serving 1 TB a month costs $390 a month, thirteen times the headline price.
When you go over a bandwidth limit, Framer lets you exceed it for one month and emails you so you can upgrade; for most other limits it asks you to upgrade straight away (Framer pricing). One reviewer, Zandy XR, wrote that he "Was running low on bandwidth," and when a refund was due, "I was then told a credit would be applied instead." (Trustpilot, October 2026).
A content site that grows
| Stage | Pages | CMS items | Bandwidth | Plan and add-ons | Monthly cost, yearly (our arithmetic) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Launch | 20 | 200 | 20 GB | Basic | $10 |
| Blog grows | 40 | 1,500 | 60 GB | Pro (Basic stops at 30 pages and 1,000 items) | $30 |
| 5,000 posts | 60 | 5,000 | 150 GB | Pro + 10,000 items + 100 GB | $90 |
| 15,000 posts and steady traffic | 300 | 15,000 | 400 GB | Pro + 200 pages + 20,000 items + 300 GB | $230 |
Our illustration from Framer's listed prices: Pro $30, pages $20 per 100, items $20 per 10,000, bandwidth $40 per 100 GB.
How much does Framer translation cost?
Framer's localization add-on costs $20 a month per locale, up to 20 locales, on Basic and Pro (Framer pricing).
| Languages beyond the main one | Translation cost a month | Basic total (yearly) | Pro total (yearly) |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | $20 | $30 | $50 |
| 2 | $40 | $50 | $70 |
| 4 | $80 | $90 | $110 |
| 9 | $180 | $190 | $210 |
Totals are our arithmetic.
With one extra language, translation costs twice as much as the Basic plan itself. This has been a sore point for a long time. Before the current pricing, locales on Framer's company plans cost $40 per locale a month billed yearly (Framer). The Swiss agency owner on Feedme.design described a small client needing French and German and argued that in a country where several languages are the norm, "Charging extra for it shows a complete lack of understanding." (Feedme.design). The current $20 price halves that, but it is still per language, per site.
What else does Framer charge for?
| Hidden cost | What it is | Who pays it | Price | How to limit it |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Monthly billing premium | Paying month to month | Anyone avoiding a yearly plan | 50% more | Pay yearly once the site is stable |
| Editors | Each person who designs or edits | Teams and agencies | $20 or $10 a month each | Use content editors and free viewers |
| Translation | Each extra language | Multilingual sites | $20 a month per locale | Translate only key pages |
| AI credits | Agent usage beyond the allowance | Anyone building with the Agent | $10 per 1,000 a month, yearly | Use the default model; mark failed results as bad |
| Pro add-ons | Pages, CMS collections, items, bandwidth | Growing sites | $20 to $40 per step | Compress media; archive old pages |
| Convert | A/B tests, funnels and triggers | Marketing teams | $50 per 500,000 events | Use a separate testing tool if cheaper |
| Advanced hosting | Rewrites, firewall rules, static files | Sites with technical needs | $200 | Only if you need the features |
| Upgrading from Basic | Basic has no add-ons | Sites passing 30 pages or 1,000 items | $20 a month more, yearly | Plan the CMS before you build |
| Templates and plugins | Paid templates and marketplace items | Anyone not starting from scratch | Seller prices | Check licence terms |
| Sales tax | Added at checkout | Everyone | Varies | Budget for it |
Sources: Framer pricing. Template and plugin costs are set by marketplace sellers.
Reviewers describe this as a stack of small charges. rivi boo wrote that "virtually every step of the workflow is locked behind a paywall," Growtality Marketing that "you can not do many things without upgrading a plan," and Alexander IT that there are "To many multi-layered payments options" (Trustpilot, 2026).
Which Framer plan do you need?
| If you need | Pick | Yearly cost | Monthly-billed cost |
|---|---|---|---|
| A portfolio or landing page under 30 pages | Basic | $120 a year | $180 a year |
| A company site with a blog over 1,000 posts | Pro | $360 a year | $540 a year |
| Staging, branching or redirects | Pro | $360 a year | $540 a year |
| More than 50 GB of traffic a month | Pro, plus bandwidth if over 100 GB | From $360 a year | From $540 a year |
| SSO, SCIM, unlimited editors, uptime guarantee | Enterprise | Custom | Custom |
Annual totals are our arithmetic from Framer's listed prices.
Basic vs Pro
| Basic | Pro | |
|---|---|---|
| Price, yearly / monthly | $10 / $15 | $30 / $45 |
| Pages | 30, fixed | 150, up to 700 |
| CMS collections | 2, fixed | 10, up to 40 |
| CMS items | 1,000, fixed | 2,500, up to 40,000 |
| Bandwidth | 50 GB, fixed | 100 GB, up to 2 TB |
| Hosting locations | 20 | 300+ |
| Analytics history | 30 days | 90 days |
| Staging, branching, redirects | No | Yes |
| AI credits a month | 1,000 | 3,000 |
| Best for | A simple site that stays small | Any site that will grow |
Source: Framer pricing.
The $20 a month gap on yearly billing ($240 a year) buys five times the pages, add-ons when you grow, staging and redirects. If you are moving an existing site with many URLs, redirects alone can decide it.
What changed in Framer pricing in 2025 and 2026?
Framer has changed its plans several times in a year.
| When | What changed | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Before November 2025 | Personal plans Mini, Basic and Pro, plus company plans; full editors $40 a month; locales $40 per locale on company plans | Framer |
| November 2025 | Basic $15 to $10 and Pro $25 to $30 a month, yearly; Mini removed | UsagePricing |
| June 16, 2026 (Framer 3.0) | Scale plan ($100 a month, yearly only) retired; AI credits introduced; full editor $40 to $20; $10 content editor added; Basic collections 1 to 2 and bandwidth 10 GB to 50 GB | Framer, UsagePricing |
| August 5, 2026 | Free plan's 500 credits become a one-time allocation | PricingSaaS |
Unlike many 2026 repricings, Framer 3.0 lowered prices more than it raised them: cheaper editors, a better Basic plan and a lower top tier. The new cost is AI credits, which did not exist before.
What happens to legacy plans?
Framer kept existing paid site plans unchanged unless the customer chooses to switch, while the lower editor price and Basic improvements applied to everyone (Framer). That makes switching a one-way door. Tharindu Dassanayake warned: "Legacy plans can't be restored. No way back." (Trustpilot, October 2026). Before you switch from an older plan such as Scale, compare the limits you lose, not just the price.
How much does Framer cost for mobile apps?
Superapp builds a native Swift iPhone app alongside a website on its $25 Pro plan, while Framer builds responsive websites only and has no native mobile app builder. A Framer site works in a phone's browser, but it is not an App Store app.
| Mobile need | Framer | What you would add |
|---|---|---|
| Site that looks right on phones | Yes, responsive breakpoints on every plan | Nothing |
| App in the Apple App Store | No | A separate app builder or developers, plus Apple's $99 a year |
| App in Google Play | No | A separate builder or wrapper, plus Google's $25 one-time fee |
| Push notifications | No | A third-party service |
| Offline use | No | A native app |

If you need an app as well as a marketing site, budget them as two products.
Refunds and billing: what users report
Framer's pricing page offers refunds on subscriptions bought within the last 14 days only to customers in the EU and Turkey (Framer pricing). Elsewhere there is no stated refund policy, and reviewers say one-time credit top-ups are not refundable. On Trustpilot, Framer scores 1.6 out of 5 from 150 reviews, with 77% one-star (Trustpilot, checked November 4, 2026).
| Reviewer | When | What happened | In their words |
|---|---|---|---|
| Ryan Leijte | August 2026 | Asked to refund a credit top-up | "one-time top-ups are not refundable, full stop" |
| Pieter-Jan | July 2026 | Credits upgraded automatically; refund refused | "they refused to issue a refund" |
| Juan Cruz Gomez Righetti | July 2026 | Charged for an editor seat | "I was charged €147.90 for an additional Editor seat" |
| Andreas K. | July 2026 | Editor fee continued after removal | "getting charged 15€ per additional editor monthly" |
| Sabrina | October 2026 | Monthly charges after a one-time payment | "they will bill you monthly when you paid one time only" |
| Greg Fitzpatrick | July 2026 | An unexpected upcoming charge | "I was going to be charged $120" |
| Ross Mactaggart | August 2026 | No help with a billing problem | "I was told that there was nothing they would do." |
| Anders | August 2026 | Long-running billing issue | "Has been weeks of attempts for them to fix my billing issues" |
| Shane | August 2026 | Did not understand the charges | "very shadowy billing structure that is not explained" |
| Alex GR | October 2026 | Refund processed smoothly | "they were really helpful and processed a refund without any issues" |
All from Trustpilot, pages 1 and 2, with original spelling.
Not every refund story ends badly: Alex GR's five-star review describes a quick, painless refund. But the pattern in most reviews is that charges for seats and credits are hard to reverse, so add editors and buy credits deliberately.
What do Framer customers say about support?
| Reviewer | When | In their words |
|---|---|---|
| SY Kang | September 2026 | "Framer has locked support behind unhelpful AI bots" |
| adrian wolfson | October 2026 | "Support just disappeared and gave up on me!" |
| Bjarke Krüger Molin | October 2026 | "they have NO way to get in cobtact with the team" |
| Fordanne | October 2026 | "Nonexistent customer service" |
| java far | July 2026 | "worst customer support ever it is so annoying" |
| Somesh Kesarla Suresh | June 2026 | "no real help to customers" |
Source: Trustpilot, pages 1 and 2.
Trustpilot reviews lean toward people with a problem, and Framer has a large community and template marketplace where many users get help. Dedicated support is part of what Enterprise sells.
What are real users paying on Framer?
| User and source | When | What they report | In their words |
|---|---|---|---|
| Simone IE, Trustpilot | October 2026 | Too costly for a small business | "the pricing policies make it financially unviable for a small business." |
| Marion Roelofs, Trustpilot | August 2026 | Price above the value | "Far too expensive for the functionality it actually provides" |
| Johan Osorio, Trustpilot | December 2025 | Hit limits sooner than expected | "pricing jumps, and you hit limits way sooner than expected" |
| Zy, Trustpilot | July 2026 | Needed a higher plan for one feature | "you have to upgrade to a $60/month plan" |
| Alexandre Mathieu, Trustpilot | June 2026 | Paid €18 and used one AI request | "I pay €18 and I only make one request" |
| Héctor Dandalaero, Trustpilot | August 2026 | Felt he got nothing for 70 euros | "70 euro for nothing !!!!!" |
| John Kennedy, Trustpilot | July 2026 | Distrusts the plan design | "Their pricing plans are manipulative" |
| Super Langouste, Trustpilot | August 2026 | Publishing designs from Figma Sites | "too expensive for publishing via figma sites" |
| Ross Mactaggart, Trustpilot | August 2026 | Liked building, not the cost | "Lovely experience to make a site, but expensive" |
| Greg Fitzpatrick, Trustpilot | July 2026 | Considering another platform | "I'll consider another platform going forward." |
| Stephen, Trustpilot | October 2026 | AI edits use many credits | "will cost you hundreds of credits" |
| Brandon Migliorisi, Trustpilot | August 2026 | Five stars, but on price | "would get more 5-star reviews if it weren't so damn expensive." |
| Swiss agency owner, Feedme.design | Before 2026 repricing | Editors, locales and redirect limits | "a cash grab, plain and simple." |

What Framer's defenders say
Even critics like the product. Brandon Migliorisi gave five stars while complaining about price, and Ross Mactaggart called it a "Lovely experience to make a site." The Feedme.design author wrote that they value Framer and would accept higher prices for premium features such as advanced analytics and better CMS tools, as long as basics like editors and translations were included (Feedme.design).
And on the numbers, Framer 3.0 cut costs for many customers: full editors halved from $40 to $20, Basic got five times the bandwidth, and failed AI results can be refunded in credits. For a designer who wants a polished, animated marketing site on yearly billing with one or two editors, Framer is one of the cheaper ways to get there.
What will Framer cost you? Five real-world budgets
These budgets add up what a typical setup pays, using Framer's listed yearly prices. They are our arithmetic, not quotes from Framer.
| Setup | Site plan | Editors | Add-ons | Monthly total | Yearly total |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Designer portfolio | Basic $10 | None | None | $10 | $120 |
| Startup landing site in English and German | Basic $10 | 1 editor $20 | 1 locale $20 | $50 | $600 |
| Company site with a blog, 2 designers, 2 writers | Pro $30 | 2 editors $40 + 2 content editors $20 | 2,000 extra credits $20 | $110 | $1,320 |
| Content site at 400 GB and 15,000 posts | Pro $30 | 1 content editor $10 | Pages $40, items $40, bandwidth $120 | $240 | $2,880 |
| Agency with 10 small client sites | 10 x Basic $100 | 2 editors $40 | None | $140 | $1,680 |
Totals exclude sales tax, templates and plugins. On monthly billing, every plan and credit line costs 50% more.
The pattern is the same as on most site builders: the plan is cheap, the people and the extras are not. In the company-site budget, the $30 Pro plan is just over a quarter of the $110 total.
How a $10 site turns into a $100 month: three illustrations
These are illustrations built from Framer's listed prices, not reports from specific users.
1. The AI-built landing pages. A founder on Basic at $10 uses the Framer Agent to generate and revise pages. At about 300 credits a page by Framer's estimate, 1,000 credits run out after three pages. Building ten pages a month means buying about 2,000 more credits at $10 per 1,000, or $20, and choosing a higher-cost model doubles that. The bill reaches $30 to about $55 a month before any editors.
2. The bilingual startup. A startup on Pro at $30 adds a second language ($20), one designer ($20) and two content editors ($20). That is $90 a month on yearly billing. On monthly billing, the Pro plan alone becomes $45, pushing the total past $100.
3. The growing blog. A blog on Basic hits the 1,000-item limit and must move to Pro ($30). Two years later it has 15,000 posts and 400 GB of traffic a month, so it adds 20,000 CMS items ($40), 200 extra pages ($40) and 300 GB of bandwidth ($120). The site plan line is now $230 a month.
Should you pick or skip Framer?
| Your situation | Pick Framer? | Pick instead |
|---|---|---|
| You want a website and a native iPhone app from one AI builder | Skip | Superapp, which builds both on one flat plan |
| You want an AI-generated site without designing it yourself | Consider carefully | Superapp or Lovable, which generate from prompts without per-page credit estimates |
| You are a designer who wants polished, animated marketing pages | Pick | Framer is one of the best visual tools for this |
| You need an App Store app for customers | Skip | Superapp for a native iPhone app |
| You run a large CMS site with tens of thousands of entries | Consider carefully | Compare Webflow Premium, which includes 20,000 CMS items |
| You need many languages on a small budget | Consider carefully | Price $20 per locale first |
| You prefer monthly billing | Fine, but expect 50% more | Switch to yearly when stable |
| You are an agency building many small client sites | Pick | Framer Basic per client site, with clients on yearly plans |
| You need SSO, SCIM and an uptime guarantee | Pick Enterprise | Talk to Framer sales |
Is Framer's pricing fair?
| Customer | Fair? | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Designer with one site on yearly billing | Yes | $10 to $30 a month for hosting and a top-tier design tool |
| Team with editors | Better than before | Full editors cut from $40 to $20; $10 content editors |
| Multilingual site | Often no | $20 a month per language, per site |
| Heavy AI Agent user | Mixed | 1,000 to 3,000 credits go quickly; top-ups add up |
| Large content site | Mixed | Pro add-ons and bandwidth at $0.40 per GB stack up |
| Customer outside the EU wanting a refund | No | Refunds are only offered in the EU and Turkey |
Framer's own position is that 3.0 brought "simpler plans and lower prices," which is true for editors and the top tier. Users' complaints in 2026 focus less on the plan price and more on credits, seat charges and refunds.
Signs you are paying for the wrong Framer plan
| Sign | What it means | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| You are on monthly billing a year after launch | You pay 50% extra | Switch to yearly; you also get a free domain |
| You pay full editors for people who only edit text | Content editors are $10 cheaper each | Change them to content editors |
| You buy credit top-ups every month | Your allowance does not match your use | Use MCP tools or a cheaper model, or move to Pro |
| You are on Pro with a 20-page site and small traffic | You may not need Pro's limits | Check whether Basic covers it |
| You are on Basic and keep deleting CMS items | You are at 1,000 items | Move to Pro |
| Bandwidth warning emails | You will be asked to upgrade | Compress images and video first |
How to keep your Framer bill down
- Pay yearly once the site is stable. It saves $60 a year on Basic and $180 on Pro, and includes a free custom domain.
- Use content editors. Writers rarely need the $20 full editor seat.
- Remove editors before your billing date. Framer bills a new editor within 24 hours, and reviewers report charges continuing after removal.
- Mark failed AI results as bad. Framer refunds the credits for results you mark as bad.
- Use the default model. Higher-cost models can use nearly twice the credits.
- Try MCP tools for heavy edits. Framer says tools such as Claude Code, Cursor and Codex connected over MCP do not use Framer credits.
- Host video elsewhere. Video is the quickest way to burn bandwidth at $40 per 100 GB.
- Translate only the pages that matter. Each locale is $20 a month whether you translate one page or all of them.
- Plan your CMS before you build. Basic's 30 pages and 1,000 items are hard limits.
- Do not switch a legacy plan casually. Once you leave an older plan, users report you cannot go back.

As a disclosure, Superapp is our product, so weigh this accordingly. If you are pricing Framer because you want a site generated from prompts, or a website plus an iPhone app, Superapp builds both on a flat $25 plan and gives you the native Swift Xcode project. If you are a designer who wants pixel-perfect, animated marketing pages and a visual canvas, Framer is the stronger tool, and Superapp does not build Android apps. How much does Framer cost for agencies and freelancers?
Framer has no separate agency Workspace plan, so an agency's bill is the sum of its client sites and editors. That makes it simpler than Webflow, where agencies pay a Workspace plan on top.
| Client book | Site plans, yearly | Editors | Monthly total (our arithmetic) | Yearly total |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 3 portfolio sites on Basic | 3 x $10 = $30 | Owner only | $30 | $360 |
| 5 startup sites on Basic, 1 on Pro | $50 + $30 = $80 | 1 editor $20 | $100 | $1,200 |
| 10 company sites on Pro | 10 x $30 = $300 | 2 editors $40 | $340 | $4,080 |
| 10 company sites on Pro, monthly billing | 10 x $45 = $450 | 2 editors $40 | $490 | $5,880 |
Prices from Framer pricing; editor seats are per workspace. Totals exclude locales, credits and tax.
Most agencies pass the Site plan on to the client, either by transferring the site or by having the client pay for it, and charge separately for design and edits. Four things are worth agreeing with each client up front:
| Question | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Who pays for the plan, and on what billing cycle? | Monthly billing costs the client 50% more than yearly |
| Will the client edit content themselves? | A $10 content editor is cheaper than a $20 editor |
| Does the site need more than one language? | Each locale adds $20 a month |
| Will you use the Framer Agent on their site? | Credit top-ups need a budget owner |
Framer's Pro Experts, its certified partner program, use 50% fewer Agent credits per prompt and get free editor access on client projects, according to the Framer pricing page. For a busy agency, that can matter more than the plan price.

Decide in five questions
- Do you need your own domain? If no, the free plan is enough to build.
- Will the site pass 30 pages or 1,000 CMS items? If yes, budget Pro, not Basic.
- How many people will edit? Add $20 per designer and $10 per writer.
- Do you want the site generated by AI, or an iPhone app as well? If yes, compare an AI builder such as Superapp before paying for Framer credits.
- How many languages? Add $20 a month for each one beyond the first.
