How the app idea generator works
Answer three questions
What you’re into, who the app is for, and your goal.
Get four ideas
Each idea has a working title, a one-line pitch, who it’s for, three key features and a way to make money.
Name it, then build it
Send an idea to the app name generator, or open Superapp’s App Builder to build it.
What makes a good app idea
A good app idea has a specific user, one painful problem and a reason to be an iPhone app.
A specific user. Trail runners or new parents, not everyone.
One painful problem. Something the user deals with every week, not a nice-to-have.
A reason to be an app. Notifications, the camera, offline use, widgets or Apple Health make an iPhone app better than a website.
Small enough to ship. A first version one person can build, without needing thousands of users on day one.
A way to make money. A subscription, a one-time unlock or a paid tier for heavy users.
How to validate an app idea before you build
Validating an app idea takes an afternoon and four steps.
Search the App Store
Look up the problem, not just the name. Competitors prove there is demand.
Read the low-star reviews
Two and three star reviews of competitors list exactly what users still want.
Say it in one sentence
If the idea needs a paragraph, the first version is too big.
Talk to five people
Ask people who have the problem how they solve it today, before you build.
From idea to App Store
Once you have an idea, the app name generator suggests names, the App Store name checker shows whether a live app already uses one, and the AI app icon generator makes the icon. Superapp names, designs and builds your native iPhone app, then prepares it for the App Store.
