Use Superapp from Claude and ChatGPT
Connect the Superapp MCP server to Claude, ChatGPT or Claude Code to build iPhone apps and run Selfdrive from your AI chat.
Superapp runs a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server at https://mcp.superapp.dev/mcp. Once you connect it, an AI client such as Claude or ChatGPT can build and change your Superapp apps, show a live preview in the chat, and work with Selfdrive, Superapp’s marketing agent, on your behalf.
The server signs you in with your Superapp account through OAuth, so there is no API key to copy or store.

Before you connect
You need:
- A Superapp account. Some features need a paid plan: importing a ZIP, exporting source code, custom website domains, the stronger builder models and paid Selfdrive tasks.
- An MCP client that supports OAuth sign-in, such as Claude, ChatGPT or Claude Code.
Connect your client
Use this server URL exactly as written, without a trailing slash:
https://mcp.superapp.dev/mcpClaude
Works on claude.ai, Claude Desktop and the Claude mobile apps once added.
- Open Customize → Connectors → + Add → Add custom connector.
- Name it Superapp, paste the server URL, then select Continue → Add.
- Select Connect and sign in with your Superapp account.
- In a chat, open + → Connectors and turn Superapp on.
ChatGPT
- Open Settings → Apps → Advanced settings and turn on Developer mode.
- Select Create app, paste the server URL, choose OAuth and sign in with your Superapp account.
- In a chat, open the + menu → Developer mode and pick Superapp.
When Superapp adds new tools, open the app in Settings, select Refresh and start a new chat to see them.
Claude Code
Run this in your terminal:

Other clients
Other MCP clients can connect if they support OAuth and finish sign-in at a local http://localhost/callback or http://127.0.0.1/callback address on any port. Clients that use their own callback scheme can’t connect yet.

Things to know
- Builds take several minutes. A new app keeps building after the chat replies. Ask “Is my app ready?” to check, or open it on superapp.dev from the link in the reply.
- Questions and plans. When the builder asks a question, your client asks you and sends your answer back. When the builder proposes a plan, approve it in Superapp from the link in the reply.
- App Store publishing and billing happen on superapp.dev, not through the connection.
- Rate limit. Each account can make 120 tool calls a minute. Past that, the client is told how many seconds to wait.
Disconnect
Remove the connector in your client’s settings. To sign a client out of your Superapp account, open Connected apps in your Superapp profile and disconnect it. It has to ask for permission again to reconnect.
Troubleshooting
Sign-in doesn’t open or fails
Check that the server URL is exactly https://mcp.superapp.dev/mcp. Sign in with the same Google or Apple account you use for Superapp.
The app card doesn’t appear in Claude
The card only works with the exact server URL above. A trailing slash or a different address shows text results without the card. Remove the connector and add it again with the exact URL.
New tools are missing in ChatGPT
Open the Superapp app in Settings, select Refresh, then start a new chat.
“Not included in your plan” or “out of credits”
That feature needs a paid plan or more credits. Check with “How many Superapp credits do I have?” and manage your plan on superapp.dev.
